Another Whole Foods store is coming to Hawaii

After opening up extremely successful stores at Kahala Mall and over on Maui, Whole Foods (WFM) is in the process of opening up another store.  The new location in Kailua will be open on April 18, 2012 and will have a huge 32,000 square foot space.  Kailua Ranch, the landowner, has spent approximately $12million to rebuild a part of their land in the center of Kailua town.  This new retail center will not just house the new Whole Foods market but also many retail shops.

This store is opening on the back of the unbelievable success of the Kahala Mall store.  The store is always busy and long lines are a frequent occurrence despite many cashier’s being on hand in an attempt to handle customers.  Therefore it is expected that the new Kailua store will be a success as well.

Later this ear Target (TGT) will be opening their new store only 2 blocks away at the former Don Quijote.  Despite local protests, Target feels that this store will be a success as well.
