The Ewa District is a large region on the Southern side of the island. The area is among the sunniest parts of the island and typically gets less rainfall than other areas.  

Neighborhoods consist of older homes and also planned new communities. There are golf courses, beautiful beaches, and even a private harbor. Ewa has a large mall and quite a few Grocery stores, shops, and restaurants.  

Ewa has many different neighborhoods. Among the most notable are:

  1. Kapolei - This is considered Oahu's Second City. Many government services that were typically available only in Honolulu are available here. The area also has many small single-family home communities and townhome complexes.
  2. Ewa Beach - This is close to Ewa Beach, and most of these homes are older and mainly from the 1940s to the 1970s.
  3. Ocean Pointe - This is an award-winning master-planned community with single-family homes and townhome complexes with a golf course.
  4. Hoakalei - (including Ka Makana, Kuapapa, and Kipuka) This is a new planned community started in 2008 with beautiful single-family homes and townhomes. Dotted with community centers with swimming pools, gathering places, and fitness.
  5. Ewa Villages is an older neighborhood in Ewa with homes from the 1930s to the 1950s and even newer homes.
  6. Ko Olina - This is a gated resort community.
