Victoria Place condo is the 7th tower in Ward Village. Once again, Soloman Cordwell Buenz (SCB) is leading the architectural design once again. This is the same innovative firm that has design the impressive Anaha condo. They also designed the to be built A’ali’i condo.
Victoria Place condo design
Victoria Place will be much more angular and boxy as compared to the fluid lines of the Anaha condo, which is one of the most distinctive buildings to grace the Kakaako skyline.
The Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) is likely to approve the condo in September 2019. Howard Hughes has been cautious of their design of the community. They have worked to stay within the guidelines of the HCDA, which oversees development in this area.

The Central Plaza – Ward Village
For example, Howard Hughes changed their overall design of the community to reduce the number of buildings. They also created a grand park called the Central Plaza. This is a private park but for the community and community events.
Ko’ula condo which will border the park will have cafes and restaurants that overflow into the park. However, Victoria Place will not have any commercial space on the ground floor. The focus is on the community park and the green beltway that is created as a pathway towards Kewalo Basin.
Kewalo Basin is a future focal point for the community. Howard Hughes won a contract to redesign Kewalo basin and will add some shops and restaurants as well as rebuilding the piers.
