Newly built Keola La’i condo to undergo fumigation

The residents of the newly built Keola La’i, will have to vacate their homes for a week next month while the entire building is treated for termites.  The vast majority of the units in the 44-story building do not have any problem, but the number that do have termites has been growing.

Nordic PCL, the general contractor, of the building is footing the bill for all of the residents to move into hotels and pay for meals so that they can treat the building.  It is believe that the kitchen cabinets may be responsible for bring the termites into the building to begin with.  Kamaaina Termite and Pest Control will be overseeing the treatment, but will be bringing in two experts from California.
