One of my favorite spots on Oahu is Diamond Head beach. This is a narrow stretch of beach with numerous surf breaks. I love to walk along the beach and watch the surfers and kite surfers when it is windy. Most people stay up above the cliffs along Diamond Head Road.

The Diamond Head neighborhood is a unique and special place to call home. With so few homes on the ocean, finding a special property like 202 Kaikuono Place. This property is one that does not come along very often. The Oceanfront home on Kaikuono Place has 4 bedrooms and 4 and a half bathrooms. The Diamond Head home sits on about 8500 square feet of oceanfront land. It was built in 2004 yet feels very modern and new. The property is secluded. It is located on a private lane. From the lane, you can access this beautiful and secluded property. Being on the rocky frontage makes it even more private. The property is located right near Doris Duke’s estate called Shangri-La.

This 202 Kaikuono Place Diamond Head home, featured in Architectural Digest Magazine was designed by a firm from San Francisco. The clean lines has large sliding glass doors so that the living room opens up to the lanai. Most details are simple and elegant with some poignant pieces such as the elegantly turned stair case with the spiraled rod iron railings. The use of wood and stone is just beautiful and even though the home is more than 10 years old, it is still new and fresh.

This is a fantastic home to own in one of the most special neighborhoods in Honolulu. Listed for $14.8 mil.
