Beachside Kailua median sales price on the rise

After a multi-year decline, the median sales prices in Beachside Kailua (Oahu) are on the rise. In 2006, the neighborhood reached a median sales price high of $2.195 million. It declined every year until 2013. Last year the median sales prices rose nearly 12% to $1,807,500 from 2012’s median sales price of $1,615,000. The lack of inventory and the desirability of the neighborhood has started to drive prices higher. Many of the homes that sold during this down period were more vintage and underdeveloped properties. So now it can be a a good buy going forward.

This is a special place. Beachside runs along stunning Kailua beach. It has been a very popular neighborhood, because at most you are just a few steps from beautiful white sand. With the majority of the lots roughly 10,000 square feet, the homes are considered spacious and have ample room for a swimming pool. The individual little streets are develop close knit communities each one having a different character.

I lived here in this neighborhood for many years and truthfully miss it. It is a laid back lifestyle built around the beach. Kailua town is always close, but these side streets are a quiet place to call home.
