Honolulu: Lease to Fee Conversion Supports Want their Cases to Continue

With the lease conversion law likely to be overturned, many lease hold owners hope that allowances will be made to allow their cases to continue despite the probably change in the law.

The Honolulu City Council will take a preliminary vote tomorrow about whether to repeal the controversial 1991 known as Chapter 38.

The new mayor, Mufi Hanneman, has said that he supports the over turn of Chapter 38 which allows the city to acquire property under condemnation to sell it to lease hold owner occupants.
