Oahu Hawaii real estate sales statistics for the month of July 2014. According to the analysis by the Honolulu real estate board, using data collected from its computerized Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system, the Island housing statistics are:

Oahu, Hawaii, real estate sales increased in July 2014

During July, the median price paid for single-family homes increased 5.6 percent from the same month last year to $683,500. The median price for condominiums increased 1.8 percent from last year to $351,750. The previous high median sales price for single-family homes was $700,000 in June 2014, while the previous high for condominiums was $360,000 in June 2014. Sales of single-family homes increased by 3.4 percent, while condominium sales increased by 4.2 percent from June 2013. According to the Days on Market indicator, single-family homes were on the market for an average of only 20 days, while condominiums were on the market for an average of 23 days.

“July was another strong month for sales of single-family homes and condominiums,” said Julie Meier, president of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®. “Median sales prices for homes and condos did not quite reach record highs, but still showed healthy gains year-over-year. However, it is noteworthy that the average days on market for homes and condos was up a bit in July, which indicates inventory is increasing. This is great news for the market, where demand continues to outpace supply. Overall, sales are right in line with what we expected for this time of year, and are indicative of a very healthy housing market.”
