New records set in 2017 annual home and condo statistics for Oahu
This was a monumental year with several new records set. The most notable is the new median sales price record of $795,000 set in June. During that same month the days on market indicator went down to 12 days. That means that the home that sold were selling in a matter of 12 days on average. The total year over year numbers show strong gains overall.
“2017 has been a year of solid growth for Oahu real estate. Both home and condo inventory remains low as evidenced by the consistently low days on market indicator. I am expecting this to continue through 2018. Because of the high demand for housing in Hawaii in general, 2018 most likely will see as much or more of an increase in median sales prices as was seen in 2017. We look forward to another record breaking year. ”
