Expensive Kahala Avenue is selling quite well

Kahala Avenue has long been known to have some of the most expensive homes on the island and with good reason.  These estate sized properties are very close to downtown Honolulu and Waikiki.  Many foreign buyers especially from Asian countries who know little about Hawaii real estate ask for this street in particular, if they can afford it.

Currently there are only five homes on the market ranging in price from $3.2 million to $16.95 million.  The impressive list is looking at what has sold in the past 6 months.  There have been 8 sales in the past 6 months and all but 2 were cash sales.  All but 2 are foreign buyers from Asian countries, mostly Japan.  Two of the sales were to Genshiro Kawamoto a notorious real estate investor from Japan who bought many properties along Kahala Avenue.
