Mokuleia development to build 106 homes – Mokuleia real estate

The Dillingham Ranch on Oahu’s North Shore neighborhood of Mokuleia may be slated for development again. A real estate investment firm, which owns the Mokuleia ranch filed a plan to build 106 new homes on the 2700 acre historic ranch.

The Dillingham Ranch Aina LLC proposal would include 91 farm dwellings each on about 5 acre lots. Then there would be a separate cluster of 15 homes.  The project also proposes changes to the ranch activities.  The cattle production would increase from 66 head to somewhere between 220 to 250 heads of cattle.  Equestrian activities would be increased.  Production of coconut would be phased out and replaced with mango, avocado and lime orchards. Other improvements will be made including upgrades the main ranch house.

The real estate developers are expecting to invest some $30 million to bring improvements to the property. These will include new roads, fencing, new water wells and a new sewage treatment plant for the property.

Ultimately the owner’s association of this new Mokuleia home development will be in charge of managing the agricultural activities which is expected to generate more the $1 mil in income for the ranch.
