Maui is the second largest island by land mass in the Hawaiian chain. Maui is also nicknamed the "Valley Isle."  Maui County covers the islands of Maui, Lanai, Moloka'i, and Kaho'olawe. Wailuku is the largest town on Maui, and the airport is located in adjacent Kahalui along with the island's main harbor.

The primary industries in Maui are agriculture and, to a stronger extent, tourism. Maui is the third most visited island behind Oahu and the Big Island (Hawaii). Many people come to enjoy the more laid-back atmosphere. They love to relax at the many lovely beaches, hike at Haleakala or tour the famous road to Hana among other things.

There are several different distinct areas of the island. Kihei, which includes Wailea and Makena is on the south side. Lahaina which also includes Kapalua and Kaanapali is on the west side.  On the north side of the island is where you find Pai'ia, Kula, Makawao, Pukalani, and Hana.

All of these areas have a distinctive atmosphere and character. Explore them to find out more or email us for suggestions on where to look.
