St. Louis or also known as St. Louis Heights is a ridge just above the University of Hawaii Campus on the Kaimuki side. St. Louis Drive winds its way up the ridge. Alencastre street and Bertram street are straight roads that run up either side of the ridge. The vast majority of homes were built in the 1930's, 1940's, and 1950's. There are also newer homes, but frequently homes here are of modest size. Views from these homes can be outstanding. View planes are over Honolulu, to the back side of Diamond Head and out to the ocean. Most lot sizes are from 4000 to 7000 square feet. There are exceptions where there are smaller lot sizes and also larger.

This is an area that attracts many people that work in Honolulu and also the University of Hawaii and Chaminade University students. Students frequently rent a home to share here because it is so close to campus.

There is one condo in the entire neighborhood. Regency Park condo is right on Waialae Avenue and the entrance to Chaminade University and St. Louis High Schools.

The top three reasons to live in St. Lous Heights

1. Easy commute to anywhere in Honolulu.

2. Close to trendy Kaimuki. Kaimuki is just down the hill and has many shops and wonderful restaurants.

3. outstanding views. The ocean views can be outstanding from this ridge. Also, the night time view over the Honolulu city lights is magical.
