When I showed this condo, I was excited because I do like the Waikiki Landmark. Having lived for a few years in the Makai Tower I am very familiar with the building and the history. The location is fantastic and it is challenging to find Waikiki condos over 1000 square feet. I have also always loved the floor plans in this building. This unit in the Mauka Tower needs some work. Keeping in mind that the building is now 25 years old, one should not expect everything to be perfect. The bathrooms are near original and the kitchen has been remodeled. The quality of the new kitchen is not quite the same as the original Studio Becker cabinets.  There are also signs that the unit lanai doors have been roughly used over the years and those need work. Despite being on the 30th floor, we did have some road noise. However, it is has a feeling of home and I enjoyed standing in the living room watching as a small rainstorm approached and the double rainbow over the mountains.
